OK, so as many of you know I have been busy over the past 3 months between travelling to LA (yes, sucks to be me) and starting my new FANTASTIC gig at FreshBooks (separate blog on this coming very soon) but I am back and promise to keep up.
So time for some speed blogging - not micro blogging like Tweeting - speed blogging. So what better way to remember what i did but to go to my Facebook page and look at my 'Gregg is' updates. So here we go...
Yesterday and the day before - 25k WOO HOO!!! I started biking to work again. Pulled the 'bait and switch' and am now riding the Gary Fisher!
July 12 - great afternoon with Bryn golfing!
July 11 - wishing Lilly, my niece, a fantastic bday and had a great night getting Fresh with customers!
... at this rate I can't even imagine the length of this blog... watch out Lynne :) ...
July 3 - became Fresh at http://www.freshbooks.com/ as Partner Marketing Manager. Outta sales baby!
June 30 - golfed with Dave and my grade 13 music teacher... just didn't realize it until we were done.
June 25 - celebrated the end of the school year with the kids and Kelly at Teronni!
June 21 - great day on the course with Bryn!
... rats, last 'Gregg is' that I can see on Facebook... memory, memory memory...
June 15 - Father's Day with my dad, mom, Kelly and the kids walking for prostate cancer research and a great lunch at Sarah's
June 14 - Happy Birthday Bryant!
May 2-4 - amazing long weekend with Jen, Warren and Lilly in Espanola
Some time mid April - LA... Long Beach Grand Prix for the farewell to Champ Car... RMS Queen Mary... kinda getting fuzzy...
... memory is shot...
I promise to keep up to date from this time forward - I was honestly surprised at how many people said they missed the updates.

What goes better together than sushi and curling I ask?
Sushi with my love over lunch and Kevin Martin winning the world curling championship.
It is great to be Canadian (what sushi has to do with being a Canuck I don't know but it makes sense in my head).

Wiki, Wiki, Wiki
So our Wiki caused us a little stress over the past 24 hours... seems she felt that what she was eating at home was not enough and decided to gorge herself on more kibble than was doggedly possible to eat.
Her stomach swelled to 2 - 3 times its size and was rock hard.
So off to vet emerg we went, me the calm, rational self I always am under pressure and Kel the mess that I am... I mean... never mind.
So we brought home the 6 million dollar dog. We can rebuild her... stronger, faster, more pain in the ass-ier than she ever was (cue the theme song - duh duh duh duhhhh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duhhhhhh).
DO YOU SEE A THEME HERE PEOPLE?

Dog, Rouge and dogs

What a great afternoon (aside from Mykayla not with us due to babysitting duties)!
First on the agenda was a nice brunch at the Black Dog. Eggs Bennie for some, Florentine, mussels, tuna and avocado for others.
Next a great walk in the Rouge Valley with Manitou and Wiki.
Great time had by all including the VERY late season tobogganing. To think this is April 6th!

Random Thoughts
- Why do robins (not big Simon's brother) fly away when you are within 10 feet of them, yet seem at peace when they are 2 feet away but there is a window inbetween?
- First 15k of the year - WOO HOO!
- Why can't Christmas lights become Easter lights, and then May 2-4 lights, Canada Day lights, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Remembrance Day and then back to Christmas lights again?

April Fools Day
Arrived and gone.
I went 2-1-6 (suckered in - not suckered in - suckered others in) - the Google emails and announcements worked like a charm at the dinner table.
Am I pathetic that my record includes suckering Kel and my kids?

Impromptu last day
So this morning we woke up, had a relaxing time and then quickly scrambled when Uncle Mark called us to say that today was the last day of skiing at Horseshoe! Now you may remember last weekend that I said we were hoping to sneak in one last day on the slopes. JUST NOT TODAY. Seems our passes were good until mid April but Horseshoe decided to close early… ask Horseshoe and they say it is Airmiles issue… ask Airmiles and they say it is a Horseshoe issue.. you say potato and I say pooootaaatoooo.
So Bryant and I headed north to catch a couple of hours before the 2008 season came to a close.
What a great day we had!
We ensured we skied all the runs, we had some great conversations on the lift (just the two of us and with the random strangers we met) and we skied off trail a few times. We figured what were they going to do? Ban us for the season? There was less than 4 hours left in the season.
A great impromptu last day of the 2008 ski season.
